UNITED
FRONT
United
Front presents a powerful program designed to promote the understanding
of differences between people, by conducting a series of interactive
exercises that require the participants to communicate with
each other as people – not
as any particular race, religion, or gender – no images, no roles,
just people. Non violent ways of resolving conflict are learned
through our relationship building exercises.
Intolerance is modeled everyday in some way
in our society. In order break down walls of intolerance, we must
shift prevailing attitudes. In this workshop, participants will
learn how to honestly communicate their feelings and how to deal
with life situations in a more positive manner.
Tolerance building interactive exercises are
introduced by United Front and used to demonstrate the power of
respect, compassion and understanding.
Empowerment of self and others along with appropriate
self expression are just a few key skills that are developed during
this workshop.
Dealing with stereotypes, self-accountability,
responsibility, personal empowerment and expression is the focus
of our day-long workshop.

Cultural
awareness, tolerance, acceptance, racism, prejudice reduction are all
topics that are fortunately gaining interest and attention in
communities, schools, workplaces and organizations throughout the
country and in many other countries around the world. When we talk
about tolerance and cultural awareness we are discussing many issues,
which include not only racial and cultural discrimination but
prejudice in many other areas as well. An individual can feel
discriminated against for many reasons such as gender, handicap, age,
sexual preference, appearance to name some of the more prominent
prejudices being discussed today.
There are many
terms used to define and discuss the issues involved with the broad
topic of tolerance and cultural awareness. There is a vast amount of
information available on the many different theories and discussions
of this topic. We would like to help explain some of these terms and
ideas in a concise and straight forward manner. Please feel free to
